Push vs Pull Marketing

In simple terms, push marketing means as a marketer you are pushing your products to customers even though they are not interested in buying. Pull marketing means you are pulling your customers to buy the products by using different strategies that will attract your audience to buy the products. 

The only aim in push marketing is to sell the products but in pull marketing we have to consider the consumer’s trust, customer relationship and all other factors which will help the brand to stay longer in the market. 

Push marketing is a short term goal whereas pull marketing strategy is of long term goal. 

Pull marketing is more effective than push marketing. As a marketer everyone wants their brands to shine in the market, customers want to please them and so pull marketing is a gateway for them. 

Let us discuss an example too.

Push Marketing:

In the rainy season, the demand for umbrellas and raincoats are so high. The marketers will try to sell their products quickly to the customers. As they won’t consider from the customer side.  The only aim is to sell the products. 

Pull Marketing:

X sees attractive advertisements, products of AB fashion centre and she came to know the quality of products is really too good by seeing reviews of AB fashion centre and later she turned the customer of the fashion centre.
