Broken link and SEO Optimization

I’m sure everyone wants their website to perform well & generate traffic. For this you may work hard & make your website optimized. But sometimes your hard work is spoiled because of broken links. Broken links adversely affect your website in a manner that it will create bad user experience & spoil your efforts taken for SEO optimization. To avoid this situation, we have to check whether broken links are there or not in your website. This can be done through google analytics. Google analytics is the best tool for identifying broken links & helps in SEO optimization. If you have no large site or external links, you have to check the broken link when you update or make any changes. If you have a
small amount of external links on your website, you have to check once a month. But if you have a large website then you have to check once a week that website is working properly. Another option to identify broken links is “check my links”. By using chrome extension, it will show the icon top right of chrome. When you click on that option it will checkout automatically & report to you whether your website has broken links. Once you identify a broken link, then the next step is to fix it. For this, you will create a new URL structure or if
you deleted all old pages and created a new one instead of old. Then the old page will be found to be 404 not found error when users visit. To fix this problem, you must ensure that whenever you move a page you do a 301 redirect. So, this will send users to a new location & also give information to search engines that the page has permanently moved to another new location. So, for better performance of SEO optimization check frequently broken links in your website. Broken links are really having a bad impact on your website if you haven’t noticed.
